SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – Hebei aims to complete all capacity elimination targets before the end of September, according to a press conference held by Hebei government on August 16.

During the first seven months of 2017, Hebei cut 12.26 million tonnes of puddling capacity and 10.53 million tonnes of steelmaking capacity, completing 75.5% and 67.4% of annual target. Cement capacity was slashed by 1.60 million tonnes, 45.5% above target. Sheet glass capacity was cut by 2.60 million weight cases to meet 52.0% of annual capacity.
