SHANGHAI, Apr. 27 (SMM) – On Apr. 26, another 8 large domestic stainless steel producers announced to reduce production in May after Tsingshan’s cut plan, 51bxg.com reported.

Tsingshan Group said to close one #201-hot-rolling furnace in Fujian production base, and to cut output by about 30,000 tonnes, and production plan for May will be set according to market conditions.

After Tsingshan’s cut news, another 8 stainless steel mills also announced to reduce production the same day, with deals below.

【SMM 니켈 속보】인도네시아, 니켈 광석 HPM 공식 개정…1.2% Ni HPM 45% 하락

인도네시아 에너지광물자원부(ESDM)는 9월 15일부로 시행되는 Kepmen ESDM No.363.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2026을 발표하여, Kepmen No.144.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2026에서 도입된 니켈 광석 HPM 산식을 개정했다. 이번 개정은 주로 저품위 리모나이트의 니켈 보정계수(CF)와 코발트 계수를 인하했다. Ni 1.2% 광석 기준 개정 HPM은 wmt당 24.89달러로, 기존 산식의 wmt당 44.97달러 대비 20.08달러, 즉 45% 하락했다. 개정 HPM은 SMM의 현행 도착 가격인 wmt당 27달러보다도 낮은 수준이다. 로열티율 14%를 적용하면, 개정 HPM 기준 로열티는 wmt당 약 3.48달러로, 실제 거래 가격 기준의 wmt당 3.78달러보다 낮다. 이번 조정으로 HPM과 시장 가격 간의 괴리가 축소되고 저품위 리모나이트 광산업체의 세금 부담이 완화될 것으로 예상된다. 시장 가격이 이미 기존 HPM을 밑돌고 있어 HPAL 플랜트의 실제 원료 비용에 미치는 영향은 제한적일 전망이다.

인도네시아 에너지광물자원부(ESDM)는 최근 2026년 9월 15일부터 시행된 에너지광물자원부 장관령 제363.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2026호에 따라 니켈 광석 기준 가격(HPM) 산정 공식을 추가로 개정했다. 이번 개정은 HPAL 공급 원료로 사용되는 저품위 리모나이트 가격 산정에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳐 온 두 가지 변수, 즉 니켈 함량 1.2% 구간의 니켈 보정 계수(CF)와 코발트 계수를 구체적으로 대상으로 한다.
