SHFE Nickel Prices Trade down 4.17% (Aug. 25, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 74,200/mt for night trading Monday and then rallied modestly, to close at RMB 75,660/mt.

The most traded contract opened at RMB 75,540/mt on Tuesday and hovered at lows then. Later, the contract started to fall due to the slump in Chinese stock market and ended the day at RMB 73,600/mt, off 4.17%. Trading volumes grew 278,000 to 648,000 lots and positions were up 14,398 to 232,000.
