LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities advanced for the first time on Wednesday, after the drop of eight consecutive day in a raw, boosted higher capesize and supramax rates.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by 3 points to 587 points on Wednesday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
