[SMM Precious Metals Market Flash] Data recently released by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) revealed that as of month-end July, the total amount of gold held in London vaults reached 8,865 mt. This figure represents a 1.02% increase from the previous month, with the corresponding value of gold climbing to $940.2 billion, roughly equivalent to the value of 709,196 gold bars. The aforementioned statistics include the holdings of London commercial vaults as well as the gold holdings of the Bank of England (which does not hold any silver).
Meanwhile, the data also indicated that silver holdings in London vaults rose during the same period, reaching 24,199 mt, a 1.7% increase from the previous month, with a total value of approximately $28.2 billion, roughly equivalent to 806,631 silver bars.
