SAIC Mobility’s Xiangdao Zuche, AVIS join hands to provide global mobility services for business travels

On May 28, Xiangdao Zuche, which is under the umbrella of SAIC Mobility, the mobility service brand of China's largest carmaker SAIC Motor, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with AVIS.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 28, Xiangdao Zuche (dubbed in Chinese Pinyin, "Zuche" translating to car rental), which is under the umbrella of SAIC Mobility, the mobility service brand of China's largest carmaker SAIC Motor, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with AVIS, the world-leading car rental brand, making Xiangdao Zuche as the first company in China to provide one-stop global mobility services, according to SAIC Motor’s press release.

As part of this agreement, Xiangdao Zuche will continue to be the exclusive service partner for AVIS' global customers traveling within China, providing business travel services to AVIS's global corporate clients. Meanwhile, AVIS will offer overseas car rental services to Xiangdao Zuche's corporate clients, SAIC Motor's employees, and its partners.

Mr. James Richmond, Brand Licensing General Manager for Avis Budget Group in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, stated that AVIS and Xiangdao Zuche share a common value of prioritizing customers and delivering excellent service. In future collaborations, they will jointly provide high-quality services to Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Amazon, and Chevron. Xiangdao Zuche's quality service management experience and comprehensive service system will seamlessly integrate with AVIS's business travel scenarios within China to meet the needs of AVIS's global customers.

Reflecting back to 2002, SAIC Motor, with its long-term "globalization" strategy, made the important strategic decision to partner with AVIS. This collaboration gave birth to the "AVIS" (dubbed 'An Fei Shi' in Chinese pinyin) car rental service brand, making it the first Sino-foreign joint venture car rental company in China. Together, they established short-term car rental stores for road trips within China, pioneering significant growth in the Chinese travel market through their joint efforts.

In recent years, facing the increasing fragmented, immediate, and diverse demands of business travels, Xiangdao Zuche has successively launched digital and intelligent one-stop business travel service platforms such as "Xiangdao Enterprise Edition," "Xiangdao Government Business Edition," and "Enterprise Intelligent Management Backend." These platforms cover all business travel scenarios, including long-term rental with or without designated chauffeurs, corporate shuttles, business trips, business visits, conference transportation, regional commuting, and employee overtime transportation.

These systems and comprehensive scenarios not only meet the diverse travel needs of corporate clients but also offer a more intuitive and convenient travel management experience. They help management, procurement, administrative, and financial personnel visually monitor corporate vehicle usage in real time, improving management efficiency and reducing corporate costs. Additionally, Xiangdao Zuche aids companies in controlling costs and enhancing operational efficiency through digital transformation, driving innovative changes in management practices.

Based on SAIC Mobility's in-depth deployment of digital and intelligent mobility services, the cooperation allows AVIS to leverage Xiangdao Chuxing's advanced experience in technological innovation and service models, achieving a comprehensive upgrade in digital services. By integrating its intelligent management platform and innovative service models, AVIS will explore more diversified service modes, optimize user experiences, and strengthen its competitive position in the global market. For Xiangdao Zuche, AVIS' global resources and presence will support its high-standard services amid the ventures into new overseas markets.
