[500MW/2000MWh! Power Construction Corporation of China Wins the Bid for the Largest Grid-Formed Hybrid Energy Storage Project in China] It is learned from SMM that on May 26th, according to the official microblog of Power Construction Corporation of China, recently, the Fourth Engineering Division of Hydroelectric Power of Power Construction Corporation of China won the bid for the largest grid-formed (independent) hybrid energy storage project in China - Xinhua Wushi 500,000 KW/2,000,000 KWh grid-formed energy storage project.

The project is located in the Aheya Photovoltaic Industrial Park in Wushi County, Aksu City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, covering an area of about 456.84 mu. The total installed capacity of the project is 500,000 KW/2,000,000 KWh, including 250,000 KW/1,000,000 KWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage and 250,000 KW/1,000,000 KWh all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage. The energy storage duration is 4 hours, and the whole station can store 2,000,000 KWh of electricity after one charge, which can meet the daily electricity demand of about 300,000 households.
