In the week of May 3-9, the average operating rate continued to decline, recording 53.11%. Due to production suspension and reduction at more enterprises, the inventory of raw materials decreased by 22.99% compared with April 19-25. As downstream delivery-taking recovered after the holiday, the inventory of finished products decreased by 4.62%. Orders gradually recovered after the holiday, and downstream purchasing recovered to a certain extent when copper prices fell during the week. Currently, companies have gradually resumed production. It is expected that the average operating rate will increase to 71.17% in the week of May 10-16, but will still be 4.49 percentage points lower than that after last year's Labour Day holiday.
