1.Arrival data (Mar 22-Mar 29)
A total of 8.1399 million mt of coal arrived at Chinese ports last week, down 1.5% week-on-week. Among them, arrivals across the 11 major ports in China were 3.419 million mt, down 12.7% on a weekly basis, and arrivals at Guangzhou Port were 821,300 mt, down 30.4% and accounting for 10% of total arrivals.
Arrival types
A total of 5.681 million mt of thermal coal arrived at Chinese ports last week, down 16.6% week-on-week. A total of 2.201 million mt of coking coal arrived at Chinese ports last week, up 91.5% week-on-week.
2.Shipment data (Mar 22-Mar 29)
By departure port
Global coal shipments rose 11.8% WoW to 28.779 million mt.
Among them, shipments from seven major ports were 12.995 million mt, an increase of 19.1% from the previous week, and the total shipments from Newcastle Port in Australia were 2.928 million mt, an increase of 3.7% and accounting for 10% of the total shipments
By variety
Global port shipments of thermal coal were 14.952 million mt last week, up 12.8% week-on-week. Global port shipments of coking coal were 12.774 mt last week, up 12.4% week-on-week.
