Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony of Meran Carbon-based Composite Materials R&D and Production Project was held in Weibei New City of Jingkai District.

Based on the key link of the new material and new energy industry chain, it will build an annual production of 1500 tons of composite material R&D and production base integrating production, R&D, marketing, and quality inspection. The products will be applied to the forefront high-end fields such as solar photovoltaic and semiconductor. The project manufacturing process is advanced and the market prospects are broad, which can provide downstream enterprises with supporting services with high scientific and technological content and stable product quality.

After the completion and production of the project, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 1 billion yuan, which will effectively drive the gathering and development of upstream and downstream enterprises, promote the scale and technical level of new materials and new energy industry in Jingkai District to a new level, and also inject strong power into the innovation chain and industrial chain deployment of Weibei New City.
