A 300 Million Yuan Wet-Processing Recycling Project Approved

On April 18, Jiangsu Lixun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nantong Beixin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., conducted an EIA announcement for the "Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Power Batteries for New Energy Vehicles and Green Manufacturing of Positive Electrode Raw Materials".

The project is planned to be built on the north side of Jiangsu Road, east side of Jianghai Road, Qidong Life and Health Industrial Park, with a total area of 104,827.07m2, a total investment of about 300 million yuan (including about 30 million yuan for environmental protection). The main body project is a new ternary lithium battery dismantling line, lithium battery powder high-efficiency recycling line and lithium battery cathode material production workshop, the construction of storage and transportation projects, public auxiliary projects and environmental protection projects.

According to the specific environmental impact assessment text published earlier, the dismantling part of the project is to process 150,000 mt of ternary batteries per year, and the annual processing of ternary and lithium iron phosphate black mass is 60,000 mt and 24,000 mt respectively with wet recovery technology. The main product is sulphuric acid, nickel-cobalt-manganese salt, lithium carbonate, iron phosphate, and 3,000 mt/year of ternary precursors.
