Bank of Japan’s Governor Kazuo Ueda said that tightening monetary policy now may lead to serious situations in the future.

Bank of Japan’s Governor Kazuo Ueda said that tightening monetary policy now may lead to serious situations in the future.

Kazuo Ueda also warns that if wages and inflation rise more than expected, the Bank of Japan will tighten monetary policy by raising interest rates and other means.

In other news, investors are seriously considering the risk of a broader global shift from the dollar to other currencies, known as "de-dollarization". Most respondents expect the dollar to account for less than half of global foreign exchange reserves within a decade.
