The Biden administration will propose the toughest car pollution curbs in US history on Wednesday (April 12), according to industry and environmental officials with knowledge of the plans.
That requires at least 54% of new cars sold in the US to be electric vehicles by 2030 (including other zero-emission vehicles), and two out of every three new cars sold should be electric vehicles by 2032.
