Graphitisation Prices of Some Producers Bottomed Out in Jan

SHANGHAI, Feb 16 (SMM) - In January, the average price of graphitisation stood at 16,250 yuan/mt, a drop of 9% MoM.

Anode material plants placed fewer outsourcing orders, whereas the graphitisation capacity kept growing steadily. As a result, the supply surplus caused the graphitisation prices to go down further, and some manufacturers were struggling at a break-even point. Graphitisation manufacturers mainly produced based on orders on hand, thus the operating rates slipped.
