SHANGHAI, Feb 2 (SMM) - Honda Motor said it will start producing the new hydrogen fuel cell system jointly developed with General Motors and gradually increase sales over a decade to expand its hydrogen business. Honda will target annual sales of about 2,000 vehicles with the new system by the middle of the decade and plans to increase that to 60,000 vehicles a year by 2030, the company said Thursday. The Japanese automaker is looking to expand the use of its new system not only for its own fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), but also for commercial vehicles such as heavy trucks, stationary power stations and construction machinery.
