SHANGHAI, Jan 17 (SMM) - On January 17, the prices of high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia were 8,700-9,000 yuan/mt (Cr 50%), flat from the previous trading day. With the approaching of the Chinese New Year, the transportation efficiency gradually dropped, and the retail sales of spot ferrochrome are mostly suspended. Prices of ferrochrome were stable before the Chinese New Year holiday. Chrome ore prices fluctuated with some ups as the arrivals at ports in the month were low, thus the industry players are generally bullish on the bid prices in February 2023.
