SMM: global gold ETF (exchange traded funds) positions fell for the first time in a year in November and the second highest monthly net outflow in history, according to data released by the World Gold Council ((WGC)) on Wednesday. Gold prices fell in a month and recorded their worst monthly performance in four years due to positive momentum in global stock markets and increased risk appetite among investors. At the same time, bearish positions in the options market have also increased. Global gold ETF holdings fell by 107 tonnes ($6.8 billion) last month, but net inflows in the first 11 months of this year reached 916 tonnes ($50.3 billion), still well above any previous annual record.
