SHANGHAI, May 8 (SMM) – China’s output of refined tin in April is likely to rise 7.1% from March, to 14,067 mt, as tin ingot production pick up in Yunnan and as some secondary tin producers step up production, SMM estimated.
Raw material inventories across tin producers in Yunnan remain at low levels as tin ore imports from Myanmar decline. High prices and limited supplies of ore materials in Yunnan are likely to affect output across tin producers.
