Snapshot: Nickel spot market in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, Apr 10 (SMM) – Norilsk nickel in the Shanghai market was offered at a premium of 500 yuan/mt against the Wuxi Stainless Steel Exchange 1805 contract on the morning of Tuesday April 10.

Jinchuan nickel was offered at a premium of 1,000 yuan/mt and Jinchuan nickel plate was offered at 101,000 yuan/mt, SMM learned. 

As nickel supplies remained stable, traders sold actively while downstream customers held back. Trading was thin and transactions were seen at 100,400-101,000 yuan/mt in the morning.
