Chile copper production down by 1.5% month-on-month to 447,558 metric tons during July this year, as per the latest figures released by the Statistics Institute INE.

SANTIAGO (Scrap Register): Chile copper production down by 1.5% month-on-month to 447,558 metric tons during July this year, as per the latest figures released by the Statistics Institute INE. INE attributed the decline to lower ore grades at a number of copper mines.
But the fall is lower than the monthly drop of more than 5% recorded in the previous three months. Copper production during the first seven months of the year totaled 3.227 million mt, down 5% from the same period of 2015.
Chile is the world's largest producer of copper, accounting for around 30% of global mine production.

Data NBS menunjukkan produksi asam sulfat (setara 100%) Tiongkok pada Agustus sebesar 7,984 juta ton, turun 308.000 ton dari 7,676 juta ton pada Juli, turun 15,5% YoY. Produksi kumulatif asam sulfat (setara 100%) pada 2026 sebesar 68,141 juta ton, turun 4,6% YoY secara kumulatif.

[Impor Konsentrat Timbal Menurun pada Agustus, Pemulihan Terbatas Diperkirakan pada September] Menurut data bea cukai terbaru, Tiongkok mengimpor 87.000 ton kandungan fisik konsentrat timbal pada Agustus 2026, turun 28.200 ton kandungan fisik atau 24,44% MoM dan turun 35,35% YoY. Sejak 10 Juli, indeks harga asam sulfat Tiongkok SMM dari smelter tembaga telah menurun selama 11 minggu berturut-turut secara mingguan. Akhir pekan ini, harga asam sulfat kembali diturunkan di beberapa wilayah, dengan harga pabrik asam peleburan 98% turun di bawah 1.000 yuan/mt. Namun, permintaan dari industri pupuk belum menunjukkan perbaikan yang jelas, dan tidak ada tanda-tanda bahwa ekspor asam sulfat dan pupuk fosfat dapat dimulai kembali, sehingga pasar didominasi oleh sentimen menunggu dan melihat yang kuat.
