Spot Premiums Edged Up in the Last Trading Week Before the Holiday [SMM Ningbo Spot Cargo Weekly Review]

[Last Trading Week Before the Holiday: Spot Premiums Edged Up] Ningbo spot premiums edged up this week, with the weekly average price up 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of Thursday, Ningbo spot prices were quoted at a discount of 20 yuan/mt against the 2606 contract, with a Shanghai premium of 20 yuan/mt.

SMM April 30 update:

     Ningbo spot premiums edged up this week, with the weekly average price up 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of Thursday, Ningbo spot prices against the 2606 contract were quoted at a discount of 20 yuan/mt, with a premium of 20 yuan/mt over Shanghai. During the last trading week before the holiday, some downstream enterprises continued to purchase and stockpile, and as zinc prices declined notably this week, downstream enterprises actively purchased at low prices, improving overall spot transactions. Overall spot premiums were slightly raised accordingly. Post-holiday restocking demand from downstream enterprises is expected, and spot premiums are likely to continue rising.
