SMM Hot Coil Social Warehouse Inventory: Demand Performance Weak, Social Warehouse May Have Entered an Accumulation Cycle

This week, SMM's statistics show that the national 69 warehouses (large sample) have a social inventory of 3.3206 million tons of hot coil, an increase of 54,200 tons from last week, with a growth rate of 1.66%, continuing the trend of accumulation.

This week, domestic hot coil production has decreased; and with the New Year holiday during the week, coupled with the gradual weakening of demand in the northern region, overall transactions have significantly declined compared to last week, leading to a small accumulation of inventory this week. Looking at different regions, this week, the inventory in the South and East China markets has seen a slight decrease, while the Northeast, North China, and Central regions all saw an accumulation compared to the previous week.
