SMM Analysis: Deep Clearing of Battery Plants, Electrolyte and Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Prices Continue to Drop

This week, the price of electrolyte continues to decline. On the cost side, the price of the core solute lithium hexafluorophosphate continues to drop due to the influence of lithium prices, while the solvent price remains stable and the prices of additives such as VC and FEC have slightly decreased, leading to a slight decrease in the overall cost of the electrolyte. On the demand side, the end power and energy storage cells are still in a destocking state, with a significant decrease in demand for electrolyte and hexafluorophosphate in the year-end stage. On the supply side, electrolyte plants are running at low capacity and almost no raw materials are in stock, maintaining a low inventory level. It is expected that the price of electrolyte will continue to decline slightly next week.
