SMM Hotspot: 12 production lines will be put into operation! How big will the capacity wave in the hot coil market be?

According to SMM, as of the end of November, a total of 7 new hot-rolled production lines have been put into operation by domestic steel mills this year, with a combined capacity of about 19.3 million tons. In addition, 2 hot-rolled production lines are expected to be put into operation in December, with a total additional capacity of about 25.3 million tons this year. As shown in Table 1, the newly put into operation production lines are distributed in the central, northern, eastern, and southern regions of China.
