China And Chile Seek Cooperation And Win-Win In Mineral Resource Development, According To Meeting Between Ministers Of Both Sides

On November 14, Wang Jiangping, Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, met with Williams, Minister of Mining of Chile, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the development and utilization of mineral resources between China and Chile. Wang Jiangping said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the heads of two states, and work with relevant Chilean departments to focus on the development and utilization of important mineral products, the lithium battery industry, and the trade of deeply processed products, encourage and support enterprises of the two countries to carry out mineral resource development and investment cooperation based on the principle of mutual benefit and win-win, and jointly maintain the stability of the global mineral resource supply chain. Williams said that Chile is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in the field of mineral resources, actively carry out policy exchanges and project cooperation with China, and welcomes Chinese companies to leverage their technological advantages in related fields and actively invest in Chile to jointly promote the development of related industries of the two countries.
