The minutes of the March meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee showed that participants discussed the possible impact of the closure of Silicon Valley Bank and the turmoil in financial markets in early March. The minutes pointed out that the consequences of the US banking crisis may cause the US economy to fall into recession later this year.
