Tianjin: By 2025, Recycling Capacity of Steel Scrap, Copper Scrap and Other Resources will Reach 8 Million mt

SHANGHAI, Mar 10 (SMM) - Recently, the Implementation Plan for the Construction of Waste Materials Recycling System in Tianjin (hereinafter referred to as "the Plan") was issued. The Plan is guided by the goal of  carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, takes green and low-carbon circular development as the main line, strengthens standardised management, improves the recycling system of waste materials, improves the level of processing and utilisation of renewable resources, and encourages steel, non-ferrous metals and other production enterprises to expand recycling, processing and utilisation business. The Plan proposes that by 2025, Tianjin's policy system for waste materials recycling will be further improved, and the level of resource recycling will be further improved. A waste materials recycling network system will be basically established, and 1,200 renewable resource recycling outlets, 10 professional and comprehensive green sorting centres will be built.
