From January to February this year, the export volume of China's aluminum products increased significantly! Customs information shows that the export volume of China's aluminum products increased significantly from January to February this year. From January to February 2022, cumulative exports of aluminum and its products increased by 37.9% compared with the same period last year. Over the same period, the cumulative import volume increased by 18.6%. Total import and export volume increased by 33.3% over the same period last year. The cumulative export of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products increased by 22.8% compared with the same period last year. Among the three major aluminum products, the exports of aluminum strip and aluminum foil maintained growth, while the export volume of aluminum profiles decreased.

Customs information shows that the export volume of China's aluminum products increased significantly from January to February this year. The global epidemic situation and energy shortage have led to the increase of market dependence on Chinese aluminum materials and products, and the sharp rise in international aluminum prices is also conducive to China's exports, bringing new opportunities to China's aluminum industry chain. The export of aluminum products has also made an important contribution to the smooth operation of the industry and to the realization of "six stability" and "six guarantees".

From January to February 2022, cumulative exports of aluminum and its products totaled US $6.557 billion, an increase of 37.9% over the same period last year. In the same period, the cumulative import volume was 1.744 billion US dollars, an increase of 18.6%. Total import and export volume increased by 33.3% over the same period last year.

Exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products totaled 1.0339 million tons, an increase of 22.8 percent over the same period last year, and exports totaled US $4.071 billion, an increase of 59 percent over the same period last year.

Among the three major aluminum products, the export of aluminum strip and aluminum foil maintained growth, while the export volume of aluminum profiles decreased. From January to February, the export volume of aluminum strip was 581800 tons, a sharp increase of 44.7 percent over the same period last year; exports totaled US $2.13 billion, up 99.8 percent; and exports of aluminum foil totaled 234800 tons, up 5.7 percent, and exports totaled US $1.053 billion, up 36.9 percent over the same period last year. Exports of aluminum profiles totaled 135000 tons, down 12 percent from the same period last year, and exports totaled 541 million US dollars, up 11.1 percent over the same period last year.

From January to February, exports of aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls and structures totaled 177300 tons, an increase of 68.5 percent over the same period last year, and exports totaled US $849 million, up 105 percent over the same period last year. Exports of aluminum products totaled 99700 tons, down 7.1 per cent from the same period last year, but exports totaled US $643 million, up 7.9 per cent from the same period last year.

From January to February, exports of aluminum wheels totaled 146500 tons, down 11.8 percent from the same period last year, but exports totaled US $820 million, an increase of 9.3 percent.

In the ranking of export trading partners of aluminum and its products, exports to the United States totaled US $780 million from January to February, continuing to rank first. Mexico, Japan, South Korea and Thailand ranked second to fifth, but the numbers of all the United States were very different. Similarly, in the ranking of China's cumulative export market for aluminum wheels from January to February, the United States ranked first with US $320 million, exceeding the sum of No. 2-7.

Despite this and that, in fact, the United States is still the largest export market for Chinese aluminum products, and this position has been maintained for 17 years since 2005.
