The growth momentum of lithium iron phosphate batteries is very strong this year.

First of all, in terms of output, lithium iron phosphate batteries surpassed ternary batteries for the first time in the past three years, and the surpassing has been maintained since May. In terms of installed capacity, data from the Power Battery Application Branch show that since July, iron lithium has also exceeded three yuan for several months in a row, of which the installed capacity of iron lithium in October reached 10.25 GW, a year-on-year increase of 324.7%, and the installed capacity of three yuan reached 7.59 GWh. according to this momentum, the probability of iron lithium surpassing the three yuan this year is very high.

In the face of the strong return of lithium iron phosphate, Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD, was excited, claiming that "the blade battery pulled lithium iron phosphate back from marginalization on its own." Zeng Yuqun, chairman of Ningde Times, also said that in the next 3-4 years, Ningde era will gradually increase the production capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries, while the proportion of ternary batteries will gradually decrease. Lithium iron phosphate will have a bright future in the future.

Chi Tongsheng, chairman of Shandong Dejin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., said when communicating with Battery China at the Fifth Shenzhen International Battery Technology Exhibition held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center a few days ago.

Mainly hit the high-capacity lithium iron phosphate battery, which is the product technology orientation of Dejin New Energy. Chi Tongsheng said that the company's product strategy is: first, focus on doing lithium iron phosphate batteries, more optimistic about its safety, long cycle life and other performance advantages; second, do relatively large capacity cells, mainly push the square aluminum shell products above 200Ah; third, pursue reasonable performance-to-price ratio to meet the needs of market segments.

The reason for choosing the above technical route, Dejin New Energy is after careful consideration. Chi Tongsheng said that the company was founded in 2018, when many of the major battery factories in China revolved around the field of passenger cars; in terms of battery chemical system, it was mainly ternary, and in terms of specifications and sizes, it was mainly small cells. Based on the market situation at that time, the main high-capacity lithium iron phosphate battery constitutes the company's differential competitiveness.

In Chi Tongsheng's view, the comprehensive performance and price of lithium iron phosphate battery is outstanding, especially the safety is higher than ternary battery, no matter which field is used, the safety of battery is the primary consideration. It is true that lithium iron phosphate batteries are slightly lower in energy density than ternary batteries, but with the development of technology, lithium iron is also making up for its shortcomings.

It has been revealed that the energy density of lithium iron phosphate cell of Dejin new energy 206Ah has reached 170Wh/kg. In terms of cycle life, the company currently has two products, one is the conventional 3000-4000 cycle products, and the other is 6000 long cycle products, which are targeted at different market demand.

In terms of production capacity, Dejin New Energy is also being built at a rapid pace. Although the company was established relatively late, but the speed of development is very fast. It took only two years from the registration of the company in 2018 to the formal commissioning of the battery production line in May 2020. At present, the company's total planned battery production capacity is 3GWH, of which the first phase of the project 1GWh has reached production, and the second phase of 2GWh project is expected to start construction next year.

Chi Tongsheng revealed that at present, the company's product shipments are in short supply, the order is very full, has been scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.

Specializing in special vehicles + energy storage

As a "new power of battery", from the beginning of its establishment, the positioning of Dejin new energy is relatively clear, that is to do high-quality, cost-effective lithium battery. According to Chi Tongsheng, when the company entered the new energy field, the lithium industry was in a critical period of subsidy decline, many battery companies went bankrupt and the whole market reshuffled violently. Although there were many battery manufacturers at that time, there were few enterprises that could provide high-quality batteries, and the company bucked the trend.

Chi Tongsheng, for example, the Dejin new energy play is to do small and sophisticated enterprises, not for scale but for quality, the company's development concept is quality first, down-to-earth, conscientiously do a good job of products, "craftsmen cast quality, technology leads the future".

Corresponding to the product differentiation route is the market differentiation strategy of Dejin new energy. In the field of power batteries, the company focuses on the market segment of special vehicles, including large logistics vehicles, tractors, forklifts and other industrial vehicles, as well as ports, mines and other mechanical vehicles. All in all, all large electric vehicles are the company's target customers.

"in terms of special vehicles, we have relatively high-quality customers, many of which are export vehicles, and the requirements for battery products are relatively high. Dejin likes customers who have requirements for quality, blindly fighting for prices is not our style. " Chi Tongsheng said.

In addition to special vehicles, another market orientation of Dejin New Energy is energy storage, including large energy storage power stations on the Electroweb side and the user side. According to reports, the standardized products developed by Dejin New Energy, including 40-foot and 20-foot energy storage container system, can be equipped with energy storage power station; 10KWh home energy storage battery system can meet the energy storage needs of users.

Energy storage is a very fast-growing industry at present. in Chi Tongsheng's view, the future will be a huge market of trillions of scale. He pointed out that in recent years, under the strong advocacy of national and local governments, large energy storage power stations on the Electroweb side have been landed one after another, and he believes that under the influence of multiple factors such as policy promotion and technological progress, user-side energy storage will also usher in rapid development, and once popularized, the market will be unlimited.

In the field of energy storage, Dejin New Energy currently has many well-known strategic partners. Chi Tongsheng said that the battery products supporting the energy storage power station carry a relatively large amount of electricity, which is often the scale of 100MWh and 200MWh, and the market demand is also very strong. He expects that the company's sales of energy storage products will increase in 2022 and is expected to reach more than 70%. Under the vision of carbon neutralization, the central and local governments are advancing at full speed around the "3060 double carbon goal", and the new energy industry will usher in a golden period of accelerated development in the future.

Le locataire et opérateur du projet, Minera KMT, a transporté le premier lot de minerai vers l'installation de traitement de Vallenar, exploitée par la société minière publique chilienne ENAMI, les 20 et 21 août. Cette étape est intervenue environ trois mois seulement après la signature d'un accord minier en mai, soit près de quatre mois avant le calendrier de développement initial de sept mois. Farellon est une composante importante de la propriété de cuivre-or-cobalt Carrizal. La première livraison de minerai devrait générer des revenus de redevances pour Red Metal et poser les bases d'une expansion ultérieure des activités d'extraction et de traitement. La société n'a pas encore divulgué la teneur spécifique en cobalt, la production de cobalt ni le taux de récupération du minerai livré. Toutefois, le passage du projet à la production et aux ventes effectives représente une nouvelle avancée dans le pipeline de ressources en cobalt du Chili hors d'Afrique.

La chaîne industrielle des batteries au lithium a poursuivi sa tendance divergente cette semaine. Le minerai de lithium spot de haute qualité disponible sur le marché et les expéditions à échéance proche sont restés tendus, les enchères à prix élevé et le stockage par les négociants renforçant le soutien du côté minier. Le carbonate de lithium spot a augmenté avant de reculer, le contrat 2701 passant d’au-dessus de 160 000 yuans/tonne à environ 150 000 yuans/tonne. L’offre de septembre devrait augmenter d’environ 11 % en glissement mensuel, les achats à la baisse en aval étant actifs mais prudents face à la hausse. Les échanges d’hydroxyde de lithium ont été limités, les prix restant dans une impasse autour de 142 000 yuans/tonne. Les prix des sels de nickel et des précurseurs de cathodes ternaires étaient sous pression, et le calendrier de production de matériaux cathodiques ternaires en Chine pour septembre a été révisé à la baisse, bien que les commandes étrangères à haute teneur en nickel soient restées solides. Le LFP a été soutenu par la hausse des coûts des matières premières et des commandes soutenues, le prix moyen atteignant 58 355 yuans/tonne ; le phosphate de fer a continué de progresser légèrement. L’offre d’anodes et de séparateurs était tendue, les coûts et les calendriers de production de haute saison apportant un soutien ; les prix des électrolytes ont légèrement augmenté en raison de la hausse des solvants et d’autres coûts. La cathode des batteries sodium-ion était en sous-offre, tandis que le carbone dur a connu des volumes plus élevés et des prix plus bas. L’ensemble de la chaîne industrielle est entré dans une phase de jeu entre la réalisation de la demande de haute saison et la libération de nouvelles capacités.
