SHANGHAI, Sep 27 (SMM) – Social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong shrank by 10,200 mt from Friday September 20 and by 10,800 mt from Monday September 23, to stand at 139,000 mt on Friday September 27, showed SMM data.
Pre-holiday stockpiling was the main drag on social inventories. The halt of imports inflow in Shanghai and disrupted shipment to Tianjin also accounted for the lower stocks.
SMM data also indicated that the social inventories grew some 2,000 mt during the week before the 2018 National Day.
