Zinc social inventories extend increases

Stocks in Shanghai, Tianjin, and Guangdong all built up week on week as of Friday

SHANGHAI, Sep 20 (SMM) – Social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong rose by 7,600 mt from Thursday September 12 and by 2,300 mt from Monday September 16, to stand at 149,200 mt on Friday September 20, showed SMM data.

This came after the inventories grew 5,400 mt over the holiday weekend as of Monday September 16.

Stocks in Shanghai, Tianjin, and Guangdong all built up week on week as of Friday, with a significant increase in Shanghai due to an inflow of imported zinc.
