Zinc Inventories Return to Declines in China Major Markets, SMM Reports

TCs for imported zinc concentrate (50%) were traded at $50-60 per dry metric tonne.

Zinc Prices to Continue to Fluctuate at High Levels This Week, SMM Foresees

Lower ore grade at some mines in Inner Mongolia affected output at their dressing plants, SMM noted. Some regions hiked TCs since zinc smelters lacked interest in hoarding raw material inventories.

On May 29, Nexa Resources said its Cajamarquilla zinc smelter in Peru is gradually resuming production following the incident reported on May 13. the electrolysis lines are now fully operational, while one casting line has been back in operation and is currently producing zinc bars.
