The average operating rate at Chinese silicon metal plants fell to 28.23% in April, down 1.75 percentage points from March and 4.27 percentage points on a yearly basis.

SHANGHAI, May 5 (SMM) - The average operating rate at Chinese silicon metal plants fell to 28.23% in April, down 1.75 percentage points from March and 4.27 percentage points on a yearly basis, according to an SMM survey of 117 domestic silicon metal plants.

These manufactures, whose total capacities reach 3.5288 million tonnes per annum, produced some 83,000 tonnes of output in April.
