The person in charge of the Ministry of Finance answered media inquiries on US Treasury Secretary Yellen's visit to China as follows:
As agreed by China and the United States, US Treasury Secretary Yellen will visit China from July 6 to 9. This is a concrete measure to implement the important consensus reached at the Bali meeting between the Chinese and US leaders and strengthen communication and exchanges in the financial field between the two countries.
The essence of China-US economic and trade relations is mutual benefit and win-win results. There will be no winners in trade wars or "decoupling and broken chains". We hope that the United States will take concrete actions to create a favourable environment for the healthy development of economic and trade relations between the two countries and the realisation of mutual benefit and win-win results.
