China’s exports of copper cathode are expected to fall further in May on the month. In May, the supply of domestic copper cathode gradually tightened, and the export window remained closed. Mainstream domestic smelters curtailed their export plans with the exception of long-term contracts.
China's exports of copper cathode are estimated at around 20,000 mt in May, down 50% month-on-month and 31.4% year-on-year.
