On March 1, according to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's LG Energy Solution said on Wednesday that LH Battery, a joint venture between the company and Honda, has begun to build a power battery factory in Ohio, US, which is planned to be put into production at the end of 2025. Honda and LG Energy Solution established LH Battery in August 2022, and they planned to invest $4.4 billion in a new power battery factory in the US to provide batteries for Acura models assembled by Honda in the US. According to the plan, the annual battery production capacity of the plant will reach 40 gigawatt-hours.
