Aluminium billet stocks continue to grow as low season lingers

SHANGHAI, Aug 30 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet across major consumption areas in China continued to grow this week as the low season persisted, SMM research found.

Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas increased by 2,700 mt from a week earlier to stand at 105,800 mt as of Thursday August 30, SMM data showed. Growth of some 5,100 mt of stocks in Foshan, Guangdong province accounted for the increase.

Foshan, Guangdong – 64,100 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 17,200 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 9,500 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 4,500 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 10,500 mt
