SHANGHAI, Apr 17 (SMM) – Approval for copper scrap imports in the 10th batch of approvals for restricted solid scrap material imports stood at the highest levels among the ten batches this year, with some 125,700 mt of copper scrap approved, SMM learned.
In the 10th batch of approvals released on Monday April 16, 45 companies received approval to import copper scrap. One enterprise is in Shandong province while the rest are in Taizhou and Ningbo.
The overall approved copper scrap imports in the 10 batches amounted to 463,600 mt, down 84% from the same number of batches in 2017.
