[SMM Gold Flash] Cora Gold announced that reconnaissance drilling at Dakounkoura South identified gold mineralisation over approximately 500 metres of strike at its Sanankoro project in southern Mali. The target lies within two kilometres of the planned processing plant. Four holes intersected mineralisation, with results including 16 metres at 0.85 g/t gold from 20 metres and 35 metres at 0.40 g/t from five metres.
Cora has completed 14,081 metres of reverse-circulation drilling under its expanded programme, while diamond drilling continues. The work aims to increase Sanankoro’s existing resource of 1.044 million ounces at 1.04 g/t and extend the 10.2-year reserve mine life outlined in its 2025 feasibility study. Dakounkoura South remains outside the existing resource estimate and requires further drilling before its potential contribution to future plant feed can be established.
