[SMM PV Flash] Risen Energy Launches Anti-Glare HJT Module for Airports and Residential Applications

Published: Oct 13, 2026 10:02 (GMT+8)
Risen Energy has launched an anti-glare version of its Hyper-ion heterojunction (HJT) module, featuring a dual-layer optical design and micron-scale frosted glass surface to reduce specular reflection. The module series offers power output ranging from 710W to 730W, with a maximum conversion efficiency of 23.5% and specular reflectance as low as 0.85%. According to TÜV Rheinland testing, the module achieved a maximum daylight glare probability (DGP) of 0.30, below the Class AAA threshold of 0.35. The product is designed for airports, residential areas and other locations with stricter glare-control requirements, reflecting growing product differentiation for site-specific safety and environmental needs.

Weekend Polysilicon Industry Meeting Held Again! Production Cuts? Price Limits? [SMM Analysis]
[SMM Analysis: Polysilicon Industry Meeting Held Again Over the Weekend! Production Cuts? Price Limits?] As for the upside in downstream module prices, in my personal opinion, the IRR returns of end-user projects are always the key factor. Weak electricity price returns, the disappearance of subsidies, and individual IRRs falling as low as or even lower than bank deposit interest rates remain the core pain points. End users are not pushing for lower prices without limits; rather, their own return hurdles are difficult to clear. Only by improving their returns through certain measures (such as reducing other costs, raising electricity prices, or other auxiliary income, etc.) can module and even upstream prices have upside. Otherwise, forced price hikes will either put the midstream under pressure or possibly sacrifice the already limited demand.

[SMM PV Flash] Australia Rooftop Solar Posts Strongest First Half Since 2021
Data from the Clean Energy Council (CEC) shows that Australia installed 180,878 rooftop solar systems in the first half of 2026, up 35% year on year and marking the strongest six-month period since 2021. New rooftop solar installations totalled 1,894MW during the period. Battery adoption also accelerated, with an average of 153 household batteries installed for every 100 new rooftop solar systems. Rooftop PV supplied around 12.9% of Australia’s electricity during the same period. As household battery penetration continues to rise, Australia’s distributed solar market is increasingly shifting from standalone PV installations toward integrated home solar-plus-storage energy systems.

[SMM PV Flash] Doral Renewables Advances Mammoth Solar Agrivoltaics Project into Commercial Operation
Doral Renewables is moving the three phases of its Mammoth Solar project in Pulaski County, Indiana, toward commercial operation. The project incorporates agrivoltaic applications by maintaining agricultural activities alongside solar infrastructure and includes demonstration areas developed in cooperation with Purdue University for crop trials, robotics and advanced monitoring systems. The project also uses selected US-manufactured equipment and local construction resources. The integration of large-scale solar generation with agriculture, research and smart monitoring reflects a broader trend toward improving land-use efficiency and creating additional value from utility-scale PV projects.
