[SMM Computing Power News] 64 units of 910B4 online at 15,000, no discount for scale

SMM, September 17: A batch of 64 units of 910B4 online cloud resources appeared on the market for rent, quoted at 15,000 yuan per unit per month. Previously, online quotes for batches of 40 units and 32 units of this model were both 15,000 yuan. This batch has expanded to 64 units, roughly double the size of the earlier batches, with no discount on price. SMM believes that batch size has not factored into pricing, reflecting tight spot supply of domestic computing power and no need for holders to offer volume discounts to clear inventory, which is also consistent with the recent absence of a price spread between different contract tenors.

SMM learned that six A800 40G online cloud resources appeared on the market for rent, quoted at 18,000 yuan per unit per month, unchanged from the previous online quote for this model. Compared with the relocatable quote of 20,000 yuan for the 910B4 in the same period and the online price of 15,000 yuan for the 910B4, the A800 40G falls between the two; its memory is only 40G, lower than the 64G of the 910B4. SMM believes that at the same price level, domestic cards offer more advantageous memory and computing power configurations, and the cost-effectiveness of the A800 is being squeezed by domestic alternatives, with pricing for older models increasingly dependent on the scarcity of existing inventory rather than performance.

[SMM Computing Power News] H800 online price drops to 68,000, hitting a new low for this model

SMM learned that two H800 units appeared on the market for online cloud resource rental, quoted at 68,000 yuan per unit per month, the lowest price SMM has collected for this model. Compared with the 70,000 yuan for relocatable units in east China in early September and the 76,000 yuan annual contract for the same model in central China, this deal is 2,000 yuan and 8,000 yuan lower, respectively, representing declines of 2.9% and 10.5%. SMM believes that the H800 has become the only model in the H series to continue falling, and this is already the second price cut among the same batch of resources, in sharp contrast to the rise of the H100 and H200, as demand is accelerating its concentration toward higher performance models.
