[SMM PV News] Withstanding the Extreme "Heat" Test: APsystems APstorage 261L Successfully Passes UL 9540A Test!

Published: Sep 3, 2026 17:25
Recently, under the witness of TÜV Rheinland, an internationally authoritative certification body, APsystems' APstorage 261L energy storage integrated cabinet passed the globally recognized and extremely challenging UL 9540A thermal runaway propagation test, delivering impressive results: the product successfully contained thermal runaway within a single cabinet and did not spread to adjacent cabinets, with actual performance far exceeding standard requirements. This successful pass serves as a "safety passport" for the product to enter global markets and will further strengthen the core competitiveness of APsystems' APstorage commercial and industrial energy storage in markets outside China.

[SMM PV News] Huaneng Shaanxi Shenmu 100 MW PV Project Achieves Full-Capacity Grid Connection
On August 31, 2026, the Huaneng Shaanxi Shenmu 100,000 kW PV power generation project achieved full-capacity grid connection, marking that the installed capacity of Huaneng Shaanxi New Energy Branch exceeded 3 million kW. Since the commencement of the Shenmu project, in the face of multiple challenges such as frequent windy and sandy weather in northern Shaanxi, complex terrain and landforms, constrained construction conditions, and tight schedule periods, all builders have united their efforts, overcome difficulties, and pursued excellence. They strictly implemented safety production and quality control requirements, scientifically coordinated construction plans, optimized construction process flows, and orderly advanced key tasks including booster station construction, solar panel mounting bracket installation, module laying, collector line installation, and equipment debugging and calibration. Through refined management, standardized construction, and regularized problem-solving, they efficiently resolved various difficulties and bottlenecks during the construction process, steadily advanced the project construction progress, and successfully completed the perfect conclusion from first grid connection to full-capacity grid connection, fully demonstrating Huaneng's speed, Huaneng's responsibility, and Huaneng's quality.

Silver Prices Rebound After Early Decline, Down Nearly 4% Weekly; Rate Hike Expectations and Geopolitical Risks Drive Wild Swings [SMM Silver Weekly Review]
[SMM Silver Weekly Review: Silver Prices Rebound After Initial Decline, Down Nearly 4% for the Week; Rate Hike Expectations and Geopolitical Risks Drive Wild Swings] Silver prices fell initially before rebounding this week, ending down nearly 4%. Hawkish remarks at Jackson Hole and surging US Treasury yields dominated the pullback in the first half of the week, while weaker ADP data and a pullback in the dollar drove the rebound in the second half. Spot discounts dominated transactions, with trading activity starting slow before picking up. Inventory built up by 26 mt, and ETF open interest edged down slightly. Silver prices are expected to maintain a wild swings pattern in the short term.
