[SMM Flash] ADC 12 Prices Rise in India on Auto Demand Hopes; Japanese Interest Muted

ADC 12 Aluminium: ADC 12 producers in Mumbai reported prices rising as they anticipate auto manufacturers ramping up production and building inventories ahead of India’s upcoming festival season. In Delhi, producers said smaller downstream buyers were purchasing at discounted prices, preventing ADC 12 prices from holding at the upper end of Rs 312,000/mt.

Delhi traders reported improved scrap availability from the previous week. Prices were heard at around $2,580/mt for clean Tense and $2,730/mt for Trump and Zorba 95/2 delivered India.

Indian ADC 12 exporters to Japan raised offers to $3,045–3,050/mt, compared with $3,030–3,060/mt the previous week, in anticipation of a recovery in Japanese demand. However, no active deals were reported from Japanese buyers at these higher levels, indicating limited buying interest despite exporters’ firmer offers.
