NextEnergy Capital, through its private fund NextEnergy UK I (NEUK I), completed the acquisition of a portfolio of three operational battery energy storage system projects totaling 107 MW, with advisory support from Natural Power, the companies announced on August 17, 2026. The portfolio acquisition marks a significant consolidation event in the UK operational storage market, where institutional investors are increasingly targeting cash-flowing assets with established track records. The UK remains Europe's most mature storage market, with developed revenue stacking strategies and a supportive regulatory framework. The transaction provides NextEnergy with immediate operational cash flows while offering the seller a capital recycling opportunity to fund new greenfield development.
