[Southwest China's First Direct All-Cargo Air Route to Africa Launched]

Today marks the official launch of Southwest China's first scheduled all-cargo air route to Africa — the Chengdu Tianfu–Addis Ababa service, connecting Chengdu with the capital of Ethiopia. The route operates two flights per week (Mondays and Fridays), with a maximum cargo capacity of 100 tonnes per flight. Inbound flights primarily carry African specialty products such as coffee, fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables, while outbound flights are dominated by high value-added goods, including new energy vehicles, photovoltaic equipment, and lithium batteries.

Addis Ababa is one of Africa's key aviation hubs. Leveraging the local route network, cargo departing from Chengdu can transit through Addis Ababa to major cities across Africa; likewise, African goods can enter China's western market via Chengdu and be further distributed to other regions through air, road, and rail networks.

The opening of this new route adds a dedicated air logistics corridor for economic and trade exchanges between western China and Africa.

Dynanonic Sees Lithium Supplement Enhancer Driving Strong Growth in Energy Storage Market
[Dynanonic Expects Lithium Supplement Enhancer to Sustain Rapid Growth Through the Year] Dynanonic stated at its earnings briefing on August 27 that in the first half of this year, driven by the rapid expansion of the global energy storage market, shipments of its lithium supplement enhancer products grew significantly — up more than 300% year-on-year — further consolidating the product's market-leading position. The product's application footprint continues to broaden across overseas energy storage, AI data centers (AIDC), and semi-solid-state batteries, with application boundaries expanding steadily. The company expects the rapid growth trend to be maintained throughout the year. Assuming no major fluctuations in overseas policies and that designated projects (design wins) proceed as scheduled, shipments of lithium supplement enhancers are expected to continue growing at a rapid pace next year.

[SMM Analysis] This Week's Lithium Battery Recycling Project Construction Progress as Follows (2026.8.24-2026.8.28)
Since August, lithium battery recycling capacity buildout has accelerated markedly. Following the intensive project announcements in seven provincial-level regions including Ningxia and Jiangxi in H1, Shandong, Sichuan, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing, Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, and Fujian have ushered in another wave of concentrated project implementation and commissioning. According to incomplete statistics from SMM, more than 15 projects were publicly disclosed during this period, with planned annual processing/comprehensive utilization capacity exceeding 600,000 mt; total investment based on disclosed figures alone has already reached nearly 9 billion yuan. The projects cover multiple process routes, including dismantling of end-of-life lithium battery packs, hydrometallurgical treatment of black mass, regeneration of LFP battery cells, direct repair of cathode materials, and second-life applications, further extending the capacity footprint into the northeastern and southwestern hinterlands and the periphery of the Yangtze River Delta.
