[ESS: Sunwoda's H1 ESS shipments reach 14.7GWh, up 65% YoY]

Sunwoda posted H1 2026 revenue of RMB 38.18bn, up 41.5% YoY. Its energy storage business stood out, with ESS shipments of 14.7GWh, up 64.98% YoY, and ESS revenue of RMB 1.77bn, up 76.21% YoY. Orders from the AIDC storage segment surged nearly 30-fold YoY, supported by a full-stack self-developed product matrix covering various voltage levels for IDC/AIDC applications.

Saudi Arabia targets 48 GWh of storage by 2030, with this portfolio representing about one-sixth of that goal.

[Storage: EDF signs PPAs for 400MW solar and 1.6GWh BESS project]

EDF power solutions North America has signed two 25-year PPAs with Nevada utility NV Energy for the Winston Energy Project in Lyon County, Nevada. The project will combine 400MW AC of solar PV with a 400MW/1,600MWh battery storage system, with commercial operation targeted for October 2029. Once completed, it is expected to generate close to 1,110,000MWh annually and supply electricity to NV Energy customers. SMM believes large solar-plus-storage projects in the US West are securing revenues through long-term utility PPAs, with four-hour storage continuing to improve dispatchability and grid value.
