[Solid-State Battery: China Leads Development of International Standard Successfully Registered at IEC] On August 21, 2026, the State Administration for Market Regulation announced that the international standard proposal "Secondary Lithium-Ion Battery for EV Drive – Solid-State Battery Application Guide, Test Items and Conditions," submitted by China, was successfully registered at IEC. This is the first global international standard in the field of solid-state batteries, led by China with participation from experts from France, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. The standard will define testing specifications for solid-state batteries, providing a unified "benchmark" for global automakers.
