Overnight, the LME lead 3M contract traded within a range of $1,896.0-$1,915.0/mt on August 25, with a fluctuation of $19/mt; it moved sideways in the range of $1,905-$1,910/mt during the Asian session, briefly rose to $1,915.0/mt in early European trading, then continued to consolidate and pull back, accelerating its decline during the overlapping European and U.S. sessions before finally closing at $1,896.0/mt, down $14.5/mt from the previous trading day's closing price, a decrease of 0.76%; trading volume was 6,172 lots, and open interest stood at 173,820 lots.
Overnight, the SHFE lead 2610 contract drifted higher in the night session, opening at 16,130 yuan/mt. After the open, it moved sideways in the range of 16,085-16,120 yuan/mt, quickly rallied to 16,160 yuan/mt around 23:00, then rapidly pulled back, and finally moved sideways in a narrow range of 16,065-16,095 yuan/mt, closing at 16,095 yuan/mt, down 35 yuan/mt from the previous trading day's closing price, a decrease of 0.22%; trading volume was 25,106 lots, and open interest stood at 74,529 lots.
