August 25 Scrap Battery Market Transaction Summary [SMM Daily Review]

SMM August 25 news:

Today, China's waste lead-acid battery market prices remained stable. In some regions, smelters raised purchase prices by 20-100 yuan/mt, while recyclers' purchase prices stayed stable. Recently, recyclers reported that the sentiment of large dealers to hold back from selling had eased, and some large dealers gradually released supplies. The recycling volume improved, but available supplies in the overall market remained tight. Affected by the pullback in SHFE lead night session, spot lead prices pulled back slightly today. Some recyclers believed that this pullback could stimulate large dealers to further release supplies and improve purchase conditions. Overall, downstream battery enterprises still mainly made just-in-time procurement. It is expected that scrap battery prices will move sideways in the short term. Attention should be paid to downstream purchase sentiment after this lead price pullback, the degree of store supply release, and changes in smelter purchase demand.
