New Zealand's Recorp Enters Australian Market with High-Capacity Aluminum Can Plant

Published: Aug 24, 2026 11:10
New Zealand aluminum beverage can manufacturer Recorp has now officially entered the Australian market, relying on its 16,000 m² manufacturing plant in Manukau, South Auckland, to provide various can types for local beverage brands. The plant had a total investment of NZ$115 million, officially started production in November 2024, and has an annual capacity of approximately 550 million cans. The production line can operate at a maximum speed of 1,850 cans per minute, and is equipped with eight can body formers, two sets of decorating equipment, and specialized devices for quick changeovers between different can heights and diameters. Recorp takes flexible production capacity, low minimum order quantities, and high secondary aluminum content as its core competitive advantages, precisely targeting the Australian beverage brand market.
